Endelig kan vi invitere Destinasjon Glede-deltagere til Kenya!

I Kenya skal vi kjenne den varme vinden på den endeløse hvite stranden. Vi skal diskutere at solen ser ti ganger større ut, mens en kamel rir forbi. Vi skal sitte inne i en jeep og se en løve ligge og sole seg, mens sebraene drikker uaffektert fra vannhullet, fordi de vet at løvene er mette. Du tar bilde av deg selv med en safarihatt, mens du smiler med alle sammen i bakgrunnen.

Tenk å kjenne en liten hånd som sniker seg inn i din, etter at du har fått i oppgave å være lærer sammen med noen nye venner. Barna blir så ivrige at de snakker i munnen på hverandre og du begynner å le. Det er 10 små hender som prøver å holde deg i hånden samtidig, og den barnslige gleden smitter over på deg. Tenk deg kvelder ved leirbålet med en gin and tonic, for å debrife alle opplevelsene denne dagen. Den afrikanske solen lyser oransje, og går ned, og du føler at du sitter midt i filmen Løvenes Konge.

Med mye omtanke og kjærlighet har Bjørg, Eirik, Lindsay og Esther sydd sammen et program for å vise hele det vakre Kenya.

On arrival at Mombasa Moi Intn’l Airport 

The group will be met and greeted, then transfer from Mombasa via Likoni Ferry to Kaya located at Msambweni – Kwale County. Your Host will welcome Bjorg & Friends, a welcome drink served/enjoy as everyone settles in, Refresh and Relax….

Meals will be served. Overnight at Kaya 

DAY 3 Tue. 7th Nov

Spend the day at leisure/relaxing with the details of day’s Activity TBA

Affirmative Artwork Shop.

DAY 4 Wed. 8th Nov

Excursion: Day at Wasini Island with Snorkelling at Kisite Marine Park Shimoni with Lunch.

Dinner will be served. Overnight at Kaya 

DAY 5 Thur. 9th Nov

Free Day at own your leisure and as you wish, at Kaya – Msambweni.

Optional: Visit Diani for shopping or do any other activity at leisure.

Drive via Likoni Ferry to North Coast up to KILIFI County arrive for Lunch at the Hotel.

Depart the Severin Safari Camp at 8.30am, (Carry a Lunch Box) Game-drive enroute Park exist.

Train departs Mtito Andei Station 11.am and arrives at Mombasa at 2pm and transfer (10 Min. away) to MOI AIRPORT for your Departure Flight. Arrival Oslo 15th November 0745hrs

Safari: 

Your adventurous Safari to Wildlife to explore Tsavo East and West National Park 3 Days from 12th to 14th November 2023.

Your Road Safari will be in a 4×4 Land Cruiser Safari Jeep customized pop-up roof for ease of game viewing & wildlife photography.

DAY 1 Sunday 12th Nov:

Kilifi to Tsavo NP. Safari Pick up time is 07:00 hrs: from Silver Palm Spa Resort after early morning breakfast. You will drive from Kilifi to Mariakani town, where you connect onto the Mombasa–Nairobi Highway. The Drive to Bachuma Gate -Tsavo East NP will take approx. 3.30mins including a short break on the way.

Approx. 10:00hrs your first entry is at Bachuma Gate Tsavo East NP, scheduled for animal spotting, you shall look out for Elephant, Giraffe, Buffalo, Antelope and others. This will give the group an opportunity for game-drive at Tsavo East NP, then, proceed to the Tsavo West National Park after lunch.

By 12.00noon Hot-Lunch will be served at a Lodge within the Park. After lunch, the group depart at 13.30 hrs. You will game-drive enroute the park-gate exit.

Tsavo West NP Mtito Andei park entry gate is approx. after 2hours drive. Severin Safari Camp is approx. 56 Km from Mtito Andei park-gate. The Park very scenic, mountains are seen on the horizon as you, as you spot the animals on the way to the Camp. On arrival, a welcome drink is served, then check-in, refresh and relax before your Dinner. Overnight at Severin Safari Tented Camp FB

DAY 2 Monday 13th Nov:

Full day at Tsavo West National Park Enjoy your breakfast with the amazing view of Mt. Kilimanjaro when the sky is clear. After breakfast, depart at 8.30am you start with a visit to the Mzima Springs. A Range will Walk with you along the trail towards the water spring and nature – the beautiful landscape. Birds, Hippos, Fish and Crocodiles are seen. After a very refreshing time, you return to enjoy your hot lunch at the Severine Safari Camp. Afternoon is free time to relax. Use of Swimming pool is possible. (Weather allowing) By evening, you will set-off for a Sundowner hour at Poacher’s look-out. This is a breath-taking and mesmerising evening time. Drinks will be served in the wilderness, as you watch the Sunset, you return to the Camp for Dinner. Overnight at Severin Safari Tented Camp FB

DAY 3 Tuesday 14th Nov:

Tsavo West NP to Mombasa MOI Airport -Today is your departure day, take it easy and enjoy your breakfast. After check-out, you depart at 08.30 and game-drive enroute park gate exit. The Train from Nairobi arrives at 10.50a.m – Mtito Andei Station. It departs at 11am to arrive Mombasa Railway Station by 2.00pm. After 3days/2nights at Severin Luxury Safari Camp Tsavo West National Park, there is a lot to reflect, as you enjoy the swift ride, soon you arrive at Railway Station – Mombasa. On arrival, you will be met and transfer to MOI International Airport Mombasa which is (10minutes away)

What is the difference between Tsavo East and West National Park?

Tsavo East National Park is generally flat, with dry plains across which the Galana River flows. Other features include the Yatta Plateau and Lugard Falls.

Tsavo West National Park is more mountainous and wetter, with swamps and the Mzima Springs. It is known for birdlife and for its large mammals.
